At the Grizzly Wolf & Discovery Center, we offer visitors to the Yellowstone area an opportunity to observe, understand, and ultimately appreciate grizzly bears and gray wolves. All the animals at the Center are unable to survive in the wild and serve as ambassadors for their wild counterparts.
The Center has been ACCREDITED by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums FOR OUR 21st YEAR!
In order to be reaccredited, the GWDC underwent a thorough review by an AZA inspection team that analyzed all aspects of the facility’s operation, including animal welfare and wellbeing; veterinary care; keeper training; safety for visitors, staff, and animals; educational programs; conservation efforts; financial stability; risk management; governance; and guest services. It confirms that we are current on the best zoo practices – meeting and exceeding the same standards as the most prestigious zoos in the world.
