Sawtelle Mountain Resort

With 62 rooms, Sawtell Mountain Resort has everything needed for a group destination and it's just an hour’s drive from the Idaho Falls Regional airport. 30 minutes from the heat of the Yellowstone National Park and near Mt. Jefferson, Sawtelle Peak, Two Top, the Madison River, the Snake River, and Henry’s Lake, your tour guests will be able to observe the abundant wildlife, enjoy watersports and remain adjacent to easy travel routes around the Yellowstone Teton Territory.

Island Park is an ideal outpost for outdoor recreation, such as UTV and ATV riding, snowmobiling, rafting, fishing, canoeing, and paddleboarding. Formed from Old Faithful’s Caldera, Island Park is a relatively flat destination with multiple ADA compliant access points including the Mesa Falls Visitors Center and Harriman State Park with a variety of restaurants stretching down the longest Main Street in the United States.

Sawtell Mountain Resort’s meeting room can accommodate family reunions, corporate retreats and in the summer time your event can extend out to the pavilion, a great space for embracing your inner child. An arcade room, indoor pool and fitness center are among the many amenities at the resort but if you ask any guest what they remember the most about their stays at Sawtell Mountain Resort, they’re going talk about the famous continental breakfast.

For additional trip building tools, visit the transportation page to review options that best suit your group. From family reunions to large groups, there are an abundance of options in the area for getting around the Yellowstone to Teton Territory, from charter buses to vans to rental cars, find the option that best suits your needs, and gets you where you need to be whether that’s to see a buffalo, soak in a hot spring or tie a fly.
