Whoever said nightlife was all about the clubs, clearly hasn’t been to Eastern Idaho! With so many things to do in the region, why limit yourself to just the daytime? These night time favorites will get you thinking outside of the box (and out of your bed!)
Night Skiing At Kelly Canyon (Ririe, ID)
Is there anything more exhilarating than skiing at night? When the moon is up, the crowds go down and make way for the Milky Way views and fresh turns! And no better way to fight the winter chill and those rubber ski legs than a soak after at Heise Hot Springs. Finish off the night with dinner and a drink at Heise Pizza.
Ice Palace at Labelle Lake (Rigby, ID)
Explore this winter wonderland of ice, lights, and snow! Walk through beautifully lit up ice passages, take horse drawn sleigh rides with hot cocoa, and take pictures with famous winter characters? You’ll want to put this Eastern Idaho gem on your bucket list for sure!
Snowmobiling ( Island Park, ID)
While you can snowmobile anywhere at night, Island Park has over 500 miles of groomed trails, with many of them taking you to several restaurants and other hot spots at night. It’s also a great way to take in the lights at Lakeside Lodge and be a part of the Winterfest activities in January.
Grand Targhee Torch Lit Parade (Alta WY via Driggs, ID)
Speaking of torch lit parades, the Targhee Vibe is strong in Eastern Idaho and nighttime is no exception. This New Years Event is always one for the books, especially if you happen to be carrying a torch down piste to celebrate the end of the year. You can continue the fun in the resort Trap Bar for live music and libations!
Horse Trolly (Idaho Falls, ID)
Downtown Idaho Falls is full of nostalgia, amazing restaurants, great shops, and family fun, and what better way to take it all in than being pulled by Clydesdales, while sipping on hot cocoa?
We hope you take some time to enjoy these winter favorites! After all, no one looks back on their life and remembers the nights they got plenty of sleep!
