Idaho Falls Fireworks - Melaleuca Freedom Celebration

One of the most magnificent fireworks shows in the whole of the U.S., the Melaleuca Freedom Celebration, takes place every July at Snake River Landing in Idaho Falls. The dazzling display with over 25 years of history pays tribute to America’s Founding Fathers, fallen soldiers, and veterans. The largest Independence Day fireworks west of Mississippi start at 10 pm and last for over 30 minutes.

In addition to fireworks, The Melaleuca Freedom Celebration features Riverfest, a family-friendly festival that starts at noon. Attendees are encouraged to set up lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy a warm afternoon outdoors. Riverfest offers live entertainment, a Kids' Zone, dozens of food and beverage vendors, bouncy houses, games, helicopter rides, local bands, arts and crafts, and much more.

Idaho Falls Independence Day Parade is another highlight of the celebration. Liberty on Parade starts at 9 am, marching along Boulevard in Downtown Idaho Falls. The parade features more than 120 entries. Awards are given to Best Band, Best Dance Group, Best Commercial Entry, Best Non-Commercial Entry, and Best Entry Overall. All events are free for the public.
